Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

At Lakhdatar and Sons Jewellers, your trust matters as much as the purity of our gold. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, mobile app and stores, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account & contact details: your name, mobile number, email address and delivery/billing addresses.

KYC information: where required by law for digital-gold and high-value transactions, we collect identity and address documents (such as PAN, Aadhaar-based verification and bank details) through our verification partners.

Transaction data: your purchases, digital gold/silver wallet activity, SIPs, enquiry details, order history and payment references. Card and bank credentials are handled directly by our payment gateway and are not stored on our servers.

Device & usage data: device identifiers, app version, IP address, and how you interact with our website and app, used to keep the service secure and improve it.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account, verify your identity (KYC), and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

To process orders, payments, digital gold/silver purchases, SIPs, product enquiries, deliveries and refunds, and to send you related transactional updates by SMS, push notification and email.

To provide customer support, prevent fraud, secure your account, and — only with your consent — to send offers and marketing you can opt out of at any time.

3. Device Permissions We Request

To provide a secure and seamless digital gold experience, our mobile application (available on Android and iOS) requests the following device permissions only when necessary:

Camera Permission: Android: android.permission.CAMERA. iOS: NSCameraUsageDescription. Purpose: Required only when you choose to take a photo of your identity documents (e.g., PAN Card, Address Proof) for KYC verification or to set up your profile picture. We never access your camera without your explicit action.

Storage & Photo Library Access: Android: android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. iOS: NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription, NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription. Purpose: Required to allow you to select and upload existing KYC documents from your phone's photo library/gallery, as well as to save or download purchase invoices, purity certificates, and transaction receipts directly onto your device.

Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint): Android: android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC. iOS: NSFaceIDUsageDescription. Purpose: Used to provide fast and secure app locking via Fingerprint, Touch ID, or Face ID to protect your digital gold wallet from unauthorized access. Biometric authentication is handled entirely on your device hardware by the operating system (Android / iOS) and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Push Notifications: Android: android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS. iOS: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) / UserNotifications. Purpose: Used to deliver real-time gold and silver market rate updates, SIP due date reminders, order status alerts, OTPs, and security notifications. You can easily enable or disable notifications at any time in your device system settings.

Internet & Network State: Android: android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. iOS: Network & Internet Connectivity. Purpose: Required to communicate with our secure backend servers, retrieve live bullion prices, and execute buy, SIP, and payment transactions safely.

4. How we share information

We share data only as needed to run our services: with payment partners to process payments and refunds; with KYC/verification providers; with logistics partners to deliver your orders; and with vaulting/custodian partners for digital gold and silver services.

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our customers and business.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies & similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.

6. Data security & retention

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls and secure infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights & choices

You can access and update your profile from your account, request a copy or correction of your personal data, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion of your account — subject to record-keeping we are legally required to maintain.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at logeshgaddika82@gmail.com.
